Your point of contact is the office of education and student success – International Student Support Services. If you have any questions, contact our office between 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday . Outside of these hours, you can email your questions through to adminteam@dptrainingconsultancy.com we aim to respond within 24 hrs

There are many legal challenges that international students face. The Legal Service Commission provides legal aid for students concerning family law matters; immigration and visa matters; frauds and consumer rights; domestic violence matters; renting and accommodation rights and responsibilities; work-related legal problems including discrimination and harassment; traffic offences and accidents; sexual assault and criminal charges. As an International Student, you are protected by Australian Law while working in Australia. This means you have the same protections at work as anyone else.

In Australia, you are entitled to a safe work environment, to receive at least the minimum wage for your employment award, and to receive superannuation.

The Commonwealth Ombudsman can investigate complaints from International Students about private schools, colleges, institutes and universities in Australia . It is important that International students follow the complaints and appeals process of the institution in the first instance. Emergency services in Australia are widespread and well equipped to support you. Fire, Ambulance and Police Services will be able to provide you with any health and safety assistance you may need. If there is a life threatening emergency, call 000 (zero zero zero). It is a free call even from your mobile. An operator will answer and will ask you which of the following services you need. Fire, Police, OR Ambulance.

Our Brisbane Campus is located at 162 Abbotsford Road, Bowen Hills, Queensland 4006 and is easily accessible by both public and private transport. Off-street and secure paid parking is available within walking distance of the campus. Bowen Hills Train Station is an easy 700m walk. Local bus stops are within 100m of the campus.

The facilities at our campus were specifically designed with quality training in mind, with multiple specialised training rooms available, as well as a practical workplace simulation room. This simulation room is designed for you to learn and practise specialised skills and techniques in a safe environment before you undertake your vocational placement in a registered facility.

Students are encouraged to view each campus as a ‘home away from home’ and make use of the fully-equipped kitchen facilities and recreational space. There are also cafes, food and shopping outlets nearby and medical facilities within walking distance.

Bowen Hills is an inner city suburb just a short distance from Brisbane from Brisbane central business district. 

Our Gold Coast Campus is located at 7/52 Davenport Street, Southport, Queensland 4215 and is easily accessible by both public and private transport. Off-street and secure paid parking is available within walking distance of the campus. Southport Light Rail Station is an easy 2 minute walk. Local bus stops are within 100m of the campus.

Southport is located at the northern end of Gold Coast Beaches and is just a short distance from the heart of the Gold Coast Surfers Paradise.

The DP Training library has study spaces, computers and an extensive collection of academic journals and text books as well as recreational reading materials. Access the DP Training website for more information and library opening hours.

DP Training has a publically available complaints and appeals process in place, that outlines the procedure for making a complaint or appeal against a decision and the review and/or resolution process. If you feel that your complaint/appeal has not been resolved, you may request a review form an independent body.

The Australian Government Department of Home Affairs can help you with any matters relating to your visa and are your first point of contact in the event that your situation or contact details change. Standard 8: overseas student visa requirements :

Students must make satisfactory course progress and attendance as a condition of their student visa and must attend at least 80% of the course contact hours. Students are generally required to attend 20hrs per week of face to face classroom learning.
