Course Description

This skill set reflects the skills requirements for case management work in the health or community sector. This Case Management skill set is suitable for those seeking to up skill toward the role of a coordinator or case manager or to improve knowledge and skills for those already holding this position.

This skill set is to support those who already hold a Certificate III Qualification in this sector and who are existing workers in the field to expand their skills and knowledge to provide case management within a variety of settings, including Community Services, NDIS, and Home Care.

Our program offers all learning and assessment materials to undertake the Distance Education Theory and Practical skills demonstrations in the workplace, with the addition of simulations. The course delivery includes:

  • Online delivery for 4 units of competency
  • Trainers/Assessors being available Monday – Friday between 8:30am – 4:30pm through email and/or telephone
  • Practical skills demonstration in the workplace and/or simulated practical sessions
  • Self-paced (up to 6 months to complete)

DP Training accepts and provides credit transfers to learners who have authenticated and verified VET transcripts and AQF certification documentation issued by another Registered Training Organisation.

This skill set is to support those that already hold a Certificate lll Qualification in this sector and who are an existing worker in the field to expand their skills and knowledge to provide case management within a variety of settings including Community Services, NDIS, Home Care.

In addition, the target learner must:

  • be over 15 years of age, who have finished or left secondary school
  • undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Skills Indicator assessment questionnaire
  • have technological skills to undertake computer/online work and have
  • access to a computer and software with the following minimum specifications
  • Microsoft Windows XP, or later, or Mac OS X or above; Microsoft Office or equivalent and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Adobe Flash Player and up to date internet browser

Please be advised the following documents will be required to be submitted with your enrolment:

  • Proof of ID: Colour copy of Passport or Driver’s Licence.
  • Unique Student Identification Number (USI)
  • Colour copy of Certificates and Statement Results for any previously attained or partially completed qualifications completed in or recognised in Australia.
  • Evidence of current employment in the sector (payslip or employment contract).
  • Evidence of Certificate III in Individual Support (or superseded qualification).

Fee For Service

  • A Full Fee paying student – total course fee $960

A $250 deposit is required prior to commencing training and assessment, with fortnightly and monthly payment plans to pay the remaining fees.

In order to gain the Skill Set, 4 units of competency must be completed for this qualification.
